Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams
* This page details Direct Routing connectivity for Microsoft Teams and NX-B5000.
Overview
Microsoft Direct Routing offers a way to link Microsoft Teams to the traditional phone network (PSTN) or a private branch exchange (PBX). This connection is established through a Session Border Controller (SBC) that has been certified by Microsoft.
Direct Routing enables Teams users to place calls directly from the Teams platform to both landline and mobile phone numbers.
Additionally, it facilitates the connection of incoming and outgoing external or internal calls directly to Teams users.
The key advantage of Nextgen’s NX-B5000 Session Border Controller is that it is the only SBC in Japan certified for Direct Routing. This certification is crucial for companies utilizing Microsoft Teams, as it ensures a reliable and consistent voice communications environment. By choosing NX-B5000, businesses can offer their users flexible and tailored communication services with the assurance of full Direct Routing compatibility.
Nextgen NX-B5000 is certified for connection with all major telecommunications carriers in Japan. This allows for a direct connection between Teams and these carriers through NX-B5000.
